Anton Chekhov, The Black Monk

It would behoove you, as it did me, to read this short story by Russian writer, Anton Chekhov. Truly, it’s an enjoyable read, and is thoroughly interesting, at least to me. If you’re interested in ideas, love, enlightenment, and genious, go ahead and treat yourself to this link: The Black Monk

The text itself is thick, but it is rich language written by one of the best. Be patient if you find yourself getting lost, but I’m sure you’ll find your way if you have a will. Of course I don’t mean to convince you to do something you don’t want to. This is just a suggestion!

This online version was released by the Electronic Text Center at the University of Virginia Library. It is not my property.
